Forbes - Blockchain For The Common Good

Article Review #4

"Blockchain governance is complex, covering everything from geographical and technological decentralization to the release of new functionalities on the network, the cost of transactions, the response to regulators, and the software roadmap. [...] A well-governed blockchain can function as the digital equivalent of a high-functioning city—providing consumers with a “total experience” that’s personalized, enjoyable, and equipped for everyone’s needs."

An interesting new piece from Forbes, covering three applications of blockchain technologies: (i) blockchain for the people, (ii) the “O.K. Corral” paradigm and (iii) the “City Council” paradigm. It has some powerful insights on the needs for widespread adoption of the technology, standardization and the understanding of blockchain as a social entity capable of shaping a better future.
